What made you get into music?
Well, I have always loved music! But the thing that sticks out most in my head is
going to the local skateparks, and shredding on the bmx, while they played Metal
Did you always have a team of supporters like family and friends when you decided you wanted to pursue it as a career?
Looking back, Alot of my family didn’t think I was going to be able to reach my goals.
I feel I have surpassed my goals by far. Also, I’ve never belived in having a street team
and things of that nature. If you can’t accomplish it yourself, you shouldn’t be doing it!
Who were some artists that you grew up listening to and who are artists you listen to now?
Haha, that’s a good question. I grew up listening to Slipknot, Staind, Slayer, Pantera,
Iron Maiden and last but not least Black Sabbath. I still listen to all them guys.
Now I am listening to Angel Vivaldi ALOT, Yngwie Malmsteen, All Shall Perish, Whitechapel,
Tech N9ne, C-mob and many others.
How would you describe your sound?
Well, I have two separate pages that targets different listeners. For my When The Smoke Clears page, I would have to describe it as anywhere from thrash metal, death metal, all the way to elevator music! Always expanding!
As for my Frak’tured Records page, I wouldn’t really describe it. I let the listeners do that for me.
What is your favorite song you’ve made so far? Why?
Criminally Insane (When The Smoke Clears). It was a learning process from beginning to end.
I write and produce everything in the band, and I feel that’s my best peice so far.
What are some of the low points you’ve experienced as an artist today?
Mainly negativity from other artist. Alot of people make music to make money, I make music because I enjoy it.
Have you been working on any new material for the new year?
Yes! I will be dropping the “Criminally Insane” album on April 20th! (When The Smoke Clears)
How do you want to grow as an artist?
I just need to keep perfecting my craft, and step out of my comfort zone. Which is already happening!
